By the end of this lesson you can log in to each of the tools the course needs and file every tutorial's work so that you can find it again in six months. You need nothing from an earlier lesson. The course suits creators and educators who have never opened an AI video or audio tool and who can already move files around on a computer. It assumes you can type a web address, download a file, and rename a folder. Work through it at one sitting a day and the eight lessons take about six hours; this one takes twenty minutes. Complete each lesson before starting the next, because the files pass forward.
You need five accounts: Microsoft Designer, CapCut, Runway, ElevenLabs and VEED. Descript and Synthesia appear in later lessons, and you can sign up to those when you reach them. All seven offer a free tier. Sign into each one today with the same email address so that you can recover all of them from one inbox. Write the five names in a text file as you go and tick each off, because you will otherwise lose track of which account uses which password. When a tool asks you to verify your email, do it straight away rather than leaving a tab open for a week.
The filing system does the quiet work. Make one folder called AI Course on your desktop, then a numbered folder inside it for each lesson: 01 setup, 02 script, 03 graphic, 04 CapCut, 05 Runway, 06 Descript, 07 ElevenLabs, 08 VEED. Put your recording of your own explanation into 04 CapCut before you start that lesson, and name it explanation raw, not IMG_4471. CapCut, VEED and Descript all export video, and three files called export.mp4 on the same desktop will cost you an evening of guessing.
